GMC Hummer EV News Update: APRIL 20th 2020
The GMC Hummer Launch originally Scheduled for May 20th 2020 has been Postponed due to COVID-19 Pandemic closures. Date for the rescheduled has not been determined at this time.

Triple Windshield Wipers
The GMC Hummer has been reported as having 3 Windshield wipers like the Toyota FJ Cruiser. This indicates a short wide windshield.
Five Foot Pickup Bed & SUV to Follow
The Pickup bed on the GMC Hummer EV will be offered in Pickup initially and SUV arriving later. The Pickup will have a 5ft Bed and a CREW CAB.
Removable Targa Tops
Recent news releases say that the GMC Hummer EV will feature removable Targa Top that will fit into the storage space under the hood.
Optional Air Ride Suspension
It was also made clear that there will e Optional Air Ride Suspension on the GMC Hummer EV
3 Motor Options
GM President Mark Reuss said the 2022 GMC Hummer EV will be available with 3 Motor options:
Additionally it is said that the GMC Hummer EV will offer “Incredible On-Road and Off-Road Capability” which aligns perfectly with the Hummer Brand legacy.
Mark Reuss, went on to say that if customers wanted a “basic package” the Hummer EV would offer it, just as it would offer something for customers wanting a truck with off-road and towing capabilities.

What about EV Charging – Locations?
Electric Vehicle Charging Station Locations
A Search today resulted in 29,608 Level 2 EV Charging Stations being found in the USA and Canada. 4,265 of these being DC Fast Charging Stations. Remove the Tesla Fast Charging Stations and there are 3,386 DC Fast Chargers as of 03/04/2020.

Volkswagen created Electrify America is building a nationwide network of Charging Stations separate from the Tesla Supercharger network. As of today there are 380 live Charging Stations with 1307 Chargers with 60 more Charging Stations coming soon. 2000 chargers were planned by the end of 2019.
Tesla already has 1804 Supercharger Stations currently in North America with 15,911 Superchargers.
